Is spontaneous remission the same as a cure?
No. Remission describes a reduction or disappearance of detectable disease; recurrence may still occur. Cure has a different clinical meaning and depends on disease, duration, and follow-up.

An unexpected recovery is an outcome whose mechanism is not established after the diagnosis, treatment history, measurements, and timing are reviewed. It may generate valuable research questions, but it does not by itself prove a miracle, validate a therapy, or predict another patient’s outcome.
Evidence boundary: “Unexplained” describes the limits of the available information. It does not identify a biological or supernatural cause.

Original pathology or diagnostic criteria, imaging and laboratory results, every treatment and date, adherence information, complications, repeat measurements, follow-up duration, and any later diagnostic revision are central.
Not by itself. It can generate hypotheses for systematic research, but another patient should not stop or substitute treatment based on a rare account without qualified clinical advice.
